They include: literal, reformulation (or equivalence), transposition, modulation, adaptation, compensation, borrowing (especially in the IT field) and calque. Knowledge & use of interpreting techniques: In the interpreting assignments I have undertaken, I have used different methods of interpreting, including consecutive, liaison, simultaneous, whisper, summary, 1st and 3rd person techniques and sight translation (i.e. oral interpretation of a written text) as appropriate.
