| Description | Our company is currently producing an online introductory German language course (written for English-speaking learners of German). We are looking for a PC-literate, English-proficient, native German-speaking proofreader who can work in-house (the material is only fully accessible on our intranet) for an estimated 30 to 35 hours anytime during business hours between now and Monday, March 19th. This job entails reading the course materials on-screen carefully and thoroughly to identify any errors in translation, grammar, spelling, and style (punctuation, capitalization, formatting, etc.), in both German and English, and recording all required corrections in a corresponding Word document. Our offices are located in New York, NY, and our freelance proofreading rate is $22/hour.
