| Description | Translation job, English to French translation Our client company in Buckinghamshire, UK is looking for a French Software Localization Translator to help localize its software products. This is a direct hire employment opportunity with full benefits & relocation support. Day to day activities include: -English to French translation including user interfaces, command-line utilities, messages, documentation, online help systems, Web content and packaging materials. -Reviewing and editing translation done by third party vendors. -Helping engineers and technical writers develop quality international products. -Preparing materials for outsourced translation and interfacing with third party vendors. -Developing and maintaining localized style guides, translation memories, glossaries, and other tools. -Approving finished products for localized release, including DTP of printed manuals. 3+ years of experience in software localization and translation from English to French. BA or/and translation degree with IT focus. Hands-on experience with localization/translation/publishing tools including Trados, RoboHelp, FrameMaker, etc. Being able to work well with team of engineers and technical writers and other translators. Excellent organizational skill set. Flexibility to adapt to changing environment and take on new assignments. This position must be based on the on our clients premises in Buckinghamshire, UK.
