| Description | Project: This first project of ours is an excerpt of German text from FIGU Sonder-Bulletin 15, one of many bulletins created by FIGU Switzerland (www.figu.org). Approximately 7,400 words (about a dozen single-spaced pages of 10-point text). Written by a Swiss native presumably using high German, however may contain Swiss colloquialisms. It may contain even freely invented words or expressions which would require your best guess as to their meaning(s). If available, specialized terminology can be provided by us per your request, for instance, for unconventional, specific spiritual, metaphysical or New Age words/expressions. Target language/document: English (U.S.); emailed as a Microsoft Word, RTF, or PDF file. Type of information: As in this project, content is typically general in theme, however it may emphasize political, scientific and even New Age metaphysical/spiritual themes. Timeline: This first project needs to be delivered via email by close of business Friday, January 14, 2005 (U.S. Pacific Standard Timezone). Budget: This material is for non-commercial, personal group study and review purposes only by a non-profit study group (FIGU Los Angeles Study Group). Accuracy is not as high a priority on these bulletin projects as other potential projects we will have, which amount to tens of thousands of pages of material. Being a non-profit group with no current revenue streams, the main concern for us initally is cost and having a decent, easily readable translation at a fair price. Obivously, if the price is reasonable, there is potential for many, many more projects of a larger scope. We have over 25,000 pages of German text that is in need of translation. Attachment: I have attached the first project in its entirety as a Word document. Thank you for your interest! |
