The right individual may be considered for permanent full-time employment. Our translators work with members of our technical writing staff to create installation guides, user guides, specification sheets and rough-in sheets for a wide range of products. Our target audience is commonly the do-it-yourselfer, and occasionally the professional installer. All documents must be professionally translated in adherence with our style guidelines. Deadlines on projects are critical. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, energetic, diverse environment. Must have the ability to understand and visualize complex mechanical systems is. Exceptional Spanish translation skills and English communication skills are required. The ability to support and maintain the highest level of quality is critical. We create our documents in XML with the use of Epic, and translate using TRADOS. Proficiency in these software applications is helpful but not required. I am a freelance technical writer looking for a translator for one of my clients. The current need is for an installation manual (12004 words), including graphics, to be translated from English to Spanish. I am unsure of any regional requirements for the Spanish tranlsation but will follow up if necessary. The graphics were created in Visio for the most part and should be editable within Word, but I can also provide source files. The installation manual is for an overhead door. The Word documents are in English and need to be translated. We need someone who can go into a Word document and change the instructions from English to Spanish, we don\'t want a different file, just the same file with the pictures and everything but with the wording is spanish. Must be native Spanish speaking person. Must feel comfortable using Word documents that contain pictures so that when he/she is making changes in the document, the document will be usable as is.
