This is an information document for Migrant workers living and working in West Norfolk. The information is non technical and on stautory and voluntary services within West Norfolk. It is 50 pages (A4) mainly text. We have funding from The Legal Services Commission, and the deadlines for meeting the funding criteria is tight. The whole project has to be completed by 31 March 2005. In order to reach the target users, we will need translations in Russian, Mandarin Chinese and Portuguese. For ease of updating the services information and printing, the text will be in text boxes (see attachment). I am also looking at getting a sample translation to consult user groups for ease of reading and content. Is this possible? The funding has allocated £2400 for the whole translation. Portuguese to English
I need approximately 20 newspaper articles translated from Brazilian Portuguese into US English. They will be used in legal proceedings and each article must be certified as a true, accurante and complete translation of the original Brazilian Portuguese into US English. The TOTAL word count is up to approx. 8800 words and is from newspapers of general circulation in the Sao Paolo, Cajamar region of Brazil. I will be scanning the originals into computer format over the next couple days and can send them as soon as that's done. I would need the completed product within 5 days of transmission of the articles to the translation service.
