Our client company in FL is looking for an French Localization Translator to help localize its software products. This is a permanent employment opportunity. Day to day activities include: -English to French translation including user interfaces, command-line utilities, messages, documentation, online help systems, Web content and packaging materials. -Reviewing and editing translation done by third party vendors. -Helping engineers and technical writers develop quality international products. -Preparing materials for outsourced translation and interfacing with third party vendors. -Developing and maintaining localized style guides, translation memories, glossaries, and other tools. -Approving finished products for localized release, including DTP of printed manuals. Experience: Required qualifications include 3+ years of experience in software localization and translation from English to French, a BA or/and translation degree with an IT focus, and hands-on experience with localization/translation/publishing tools including Trados, RoboHelp, FrameMaker, etc. Candidates must able to work well with team of engineers and technical writers and other translators, and require excellent organizational skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing environment and take on new assignments.
